...Brick Boy...

This time we have to double up the size of the brick boy we did previously and design our a character that we like onto it. Oh well, i waste quite a lot of TRYING 2 time double up the scale, MEASURING it and TRANSFERING it to the drawing block. At first, i thought of an easier alternative. I went to the library and enlarged it. Just when i thought i've solved my problem of scalling and measuring it, i realised the librarian had enlarged it to the wrong scale. So i still ended up drawing and measuring it using a ruler. I don't faced much problem in the cutting and sticking part. However, when it comes to the colouring process, i wanted to use acrylic but i left it in my hometown. So this left me no choice but to use watercolour. The effect is not as good as the acrylic because the colour is more dull compare to acrylic but that is the best i can do.

It's mr krabs from krusty krabs in spongebob series. actually i hav 2 sketches.
This is the first sketches:
This is the second sketches:
I ended up choosing the second sketches. What gave my the inspiration of crunching the stiff square box??? Well, a stiff square box doesn't look like a cheft hat at all. so i crunch it to look more normal. i also pop up the eyes of mr krabs 2 attract the attention since it's his main characteristic.

After that we're suppose 2 present it to the class. Honestly i wasn't very satisfied with my work when i saw others work from 04 & 05. Their work is soooo neat...Guess i need 2 try harder 4 the next assignment

...Day 1...

We started class by drawing sketches from 4 different interesting perspectives. I've drawn my w810 handphone. However i can't manage to finish shading it on time.

After lunch, we started on our brick boy. Well i had a hard time measuring and transfering the image from the paper to the drawing clock. Luckily i've found an easier solution. I started tracing the original brick boy measurement using a layout paper into the drawing block. I don't face so much problems during the cutting and the sticking process since i've experience in model making. Guess that's all. Here is the image of the brick boy i've made and also the measurement.
